Terms & Conditions

By using the services of PTech (Philip Preston T/A), you agree to the following Terms & Conditions:

  1. Repair Service Agreement: You authorise PTech to carry out repairs on your device. We are not liable for any pre-existing faults.
  2. Warranty: 12-month warranty on parts and labour. Batteries and consumables covered for 90 days. Liquid-damaged devices are excluded from warranty.
  3. Diagnostic Charge: A £30 diagnostic fee applies if no repair is carried out. This is waived if we complete the repair or cannot repair the device.
  4. Liquid Damage Repairs: Handled on a best-effort basis. No guarantee of full functionality. No warranty provided.
  5. Data & Privacy: You are responsible for backing up your data. We are not liable for data loss. Personal data is handled in line with our Privacy Policy.
  6. Parts Used: We use high-quality aftermarket or OEM-equivalent parts unless genuine parts are specifically requested.
  7. Previous Repairs: We are not liable for complications caused by third-party repairs.
  8. Limitation of Liability: Our liability is limited to the cost of the repair. We are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses.
  9. Abandoned Devices: Devices not collected within 60 days may be disposed of or recycled.
  10. Payments: Full payment is due on completion. Devices remain our property until paid for in full.
  11. Customer Responsibilities: Faults must be reported within 48 hours of collection for warranty consideration.
  12. Statutory Rights: Nothing affects your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
  13. Data Protection: We follow UK GDPR. See our Privacy Policy.
  14. Right to Refuse: We reserve the right to refuse service.
